An Apostille is required before certain United Kingdom documents can be used overseas. It is usually required when overseas officials are not able to determine on first hand the authenticity of the documents.In order to be sure of a countries requirements, contact the relevant authorities and they will inform you of their procedure. EAC specialises in the legalisation and the certification of documentation produced either in the UK or overseas. We can also attach an Apostille to identification documents (i.e a passport copy) but they will need to be notarised by your local notary as he/she will need to witness your signature before we can legalise the documents. Legalisation is the process of authenticating a signature, seal or stamp appearing on a document. Any documents you provide will also be certified by a practicing Notary Public.
